New England Greyhounds need homes
3 New England Greyhound Race Tracks will close within the next month or have closed for the Winter season. Live racing will not resume until they reopen in the Spring and that leaves hundreds of dogs looking for homes. There are 100 dogs in Mass already available and probably the same number available from the Seabrook track after the first of the year.
I know that this is a terrible time of year to ask for Foster Home support, but that’s just what we need. Many of you are already helping, some have just adopted, some have a living situation that doesn’t allow for more dogs, but you can all help! We need Foster Homes, first and foremost, but we also need referrals and funds.

There are Mass dogs that need spots now, but the bulk won’t come to us until after the first of the year. That will give us all a chance to get through the Holidays with the thought that during the coldest months of the year, we could be snuggling up with a new greyhound buddy. We have tentatively committed to 15 from Seabrook the first of the year and would love to take a few now from Mass.

Donna, GPA’s illustrious Foster Home Coordinator, can be reached at houndgrey@comcast.net or (603)734-2447 and I can be reached at kenwright@tds.net or at this email during the week or (603)927-1885.
Please feel free to pass on this message to anyone that you think might be interested. We’d love to talk to them.
Thanks a million and HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
